1. Rain tapping on an umbrella. Reminds me of rain tapping on the tent on camping trips when I was little. Sad, the weather we must have had every year.

2. White noise from the Mac, the drip drip drip of melting snow running off the roof, someone whistling in the hallway

3. "Madeline and Nine" and "Down on the River by the Sugar Plant", both my Mike Doughty.

1. The sound of a football game on TV makes me think of Sunday afternoons when I was a kid, before my parents got divorced, when my dad would watch football every Sunday. Which might be part of why my parents got divorced, come to that.

2. White noise from the Mac (I wouldn't have thought of this if kStyle hadn't said it), and cars going by on the road outside my building. It's pretty quiet here.

3. I don't know if I'd say "obsessed," but the one I've had in my head today is Annie Lennox's cover of Bob Marley's "Waiting in Vain."
