Yesterday, the first day, I felt great: my heart was lighter. Today, however, I'm exhausted, tense, emotional, and sick of vegetables. I cracked and ate some tofu. I don't know if I'm going to finish this thing.
Exactly. I'm modifying the cleanse to include protein from, well, NOW, as my little compromise. I mean, I know logically that eating only veg and fruit for a few days won't cause any real, long-term damage, but boy, could I use some protein. I started to feel exactly like I did in high school when I was exhausted and depressed all the time until my mom started feeding me B-complex supplements, so I recognized what was going on.
