Monday Evening Questionnaire
A little bit of everything Edition
1. Of what (false) conventional wisdom would you like to disabuse the world?
2. Multiple choice! In your lifetime have you incurred more:
a) speeding tickets
b) library overdue fines
c) those fees they charged you in college for locking yourself out of your dorm
3. Fill in the blank: Hey, guess what? I recently discovered that someone makes and sells _________! Who knew?
3 Comments:
1. That the media have and act upon a liberal bias. The situation is provably the opposite.
2. Probably B, though I'm rarely overdue. I've never had a speeding ticket and I only locked myself out of my dorm once. And I think they gave you a freebie the first time.
3. Picture frames specifically made for record albums! So you can hang them on your wall!
1. That over-exercising is good for you, and that there is a righteousness to having a warped (i.e., diet-crazed) relationship with food. Say goodbye to your knees, marathoners.
2. b, library fines. That said, if c were "those fees they charged you in college for losing your student ID", my answer would hands-down be that. (I usually lived in housing that was unlocked by a key rather than by swiping the ID.)
3. Uh...uh...Let me check eBay real quick...OK, here we go. eBay has a whole section for "Gingerbread Crafts", homespun items of various media featuring gingerbread people.
1. That the direction the human population is headed in should be called 'progress.'
2. In my life, more overdue fines than speeding tickets by quantity. More money on my one speeding ticket than all library fines combined, although this one book would have come out on top if I didn't have an insider working at the library who could fix things.
3. for some reason the only thing I can think of is muffins.
