1. When I first got this job, had no money, & needed to move to the area, I checked out many apartments and met with many potential future roommates already inhabiting those apartments. One seemed kind of crazy, just from my initial phone interview. I told my parents & sister that I didn't think I should see the apartment after all. They said, in a nutshell, that I was being closed-minded and judgemental. So I went, and she still seemed a little off, but offered me a great rent deal. My gut still said no, but my family said YES, and they said that logic said yes.

She turned out to be much crazier than I could have imagined.

2. be working in publishing

...but I plan that to be the case in 1 year

3. Breathing.

NO! Just kidding!

1. Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Sometimes a movie is so bad that it makes me hate movies. It makes me resent the entire medium. I can't believe I even watched this thing, and my expectations were genuinely low, but about halfway through it I realized that it wasn't just making me hate movies. It made me never wanted to be told a story again. It made me feel allergic to narrative. It was that bad.

2. "Work in the publishing field." If I turn out to be wrong about this, please find me in ten years and put me down like a sad, crippled dog.

3. I watch "The O'Reilly Factor." Not all the time, and never the entire show. A few minutes here, a few minutes there. I feel it is important to keep tabs on what Fox News is doing, even though it gives me dry heaves. Let it not be said I won't suffer for my country.
