Cult/ Not Cult: The Cults Among Us Edition
This week we're varying up our regular cult feature with an essay rather than the usual website/voting. I think this essay will have special interest for one of our regulars here. I won't say her name, but it begins with an A.
Here you go. Via Rita via Pops, who told us Rita likes Buffy, so I had to go visit.

I don't like Buffy. I like to deconstruct Buffy. Pops has lied to you all.
Some people just can't gracefully accept positive attention.
Either way, it got me to the cult article. Thanks. We like cults here at float.
Welcome to all 3 of you new commentors. Put your feet up, have a mojito.
kStyle doppelganger--I'll come visit soon.
I've been wanting to ask where the name "kStyle" comes from, but I didn't because of the nagging suspicion that it was something obvious that I should know about. But I don't know about it. Now there is another kstyle, so I'm sure it's a hip, happening underground expression of ultimate coolness, and I am caught out of it yet again.
Damn you all.
AH, where does kStyle come from? One day during my undergraduate years, two of my housemates gave each of our gang a "hip hop name", which consisted of first initial-hyphen-noun. Mine, k-Style, was the only one that really stuck. It has since morphed into kStyle because hyphens are a "special character" not accepted by most software programs.
