Monday Questionnaire
1. Name two or three categories on "Jeopardy!" in which you would excel--and perhaps even defeat Mr. Ken Jennings!
2. You're going on an overnight trip. Besides the obvious, what do you not leave home without?
3. What is your favorite board game?
5 Comments:
1. I doubt I'd ever be as quick on the buzzer as Ken, but were I on the show, I'd sigh with relief if movies came up, or twentieth-century literature, or modern politics.
2. Earplugs. You never know when you'll want things quieter.
3. Not an interesting choice, but true: Trivial Pursuit.
1. I always do well in Greek mythology. I'm certain I could kick ass in Eastern Medicine, were it ever a category.
2. Is floss obvious?
3. Lah, I love your story about Trivial Pursuit. I myself adore boardgames. Can I pick just one?...Scrabble. No, no, Apples to Apples. No, wait--Cranium.
No wait...
1. 70s pop culture, maybe. some kinds of political questions, perhaps.
2. Crossword puzzles and a pen (back issues of the NYT magazine wherein I haven't finished the puzzle yet); something to read.
3. Depends. Monopoly is fun with the right people. Bridge isn't a board game and most definitely requires the right people. Trivial pursuit I like, but getting enough people together to play it is an impossibility in my life right now. (though it was a centerpiece in one of the weirdest birthday celebrations I ever had--my then-sort-of-boyfriend got it for me, and we played, along with my ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend and maybe some others.)

Here's a spinoff question to #2:
What do you inevitably forget to bring on your trip?
(I aways forget my camera, to the point that, should I write my memoirs, it will be titled, "I Forgot to Bring My Camera Along: The Life of Karen")
