Clueless Tuesday

What do people do on Tuesday nights? You--yes, you there, reading--tell me. First I had three years' shiatsu classes on Tuesdays, 6-9, and now I take yoga on Tuesdays. But there is no yoga tonight. Is there a Tuesday protocol? I've put dinner in the oven and checked personal email. I might read later. Does this sound correct?

The reading part, definitely. I finished The Big Over Easy and started The Fourth Bear tonight. (I love Jasper Fforde's novels.)

Maybe eat some leftover Easter candy, too, if you have any.

(I'm amused that you wrote "personal email" and not just "email." That's because the thought of checking work email when I'm not actually at work makes me feel nauseous.)

Whatever you do, don't watch "Dancing With The Stars: The Results" Sadly, another couple must go home tonight. Will it be the odious John Ratzenberger, or the glamorous and Fabulous at Fifty - yet strangely stiff-legged - Leeza Gibbons. And speaking of stiff-legged, maybe they'll show Heather Mills the door. None of them can dance, but tonight one of them will be humiliated as 15 million watch.

(OK, I watched it. Now I'm trying to figure out if there's anything I can salvage from this evening.)

Well, I used to play handball on Tuesday nights, and sometimes watch it, too, because Tuesday is league match night. (And occasionally I'd even play a league match.)

For the past year or so, however, I go to a local bar with a Friend for international night: the bar caters in dinner from a different restaurant each Tuesday, and you have to buy two beers to get the food. Since the restaurant has a ton of Belgian and American craft beer on tap (I have tasted all KINDS of cool stuff), this is hardly a difficult or onerous task. Last night I had Two Floyds Rabbid Rabbit, which has unbelievable floral (coriander, lavender, and rose) notes to it, and an IPA (Mad Hatter, I think), and half of a rasbperry lambic to finish the evening. Or, at least, to finish the drinking and eating part of the evening. Dessert was consumed elsewhere.

You all do great Tuesday night activities! (except for Larry) I ended up making dinner, eating dinner, thumbing through Architectural Digest, and then watching "House".
