Friday Questionnaire
because why the hell not?

In honor of St Patty's Day and Lent, two great Catholic traditions, let’s talk about a third great Catholic tradition: sin. Confess and we shall absolve you.

1. Have you ever stolen anything? What?

2. That little devil that sits on your shoulder—what does he tell you to do? Have you done it?

3. Defend or refute the dualistic worldview as exemplified in notions of Heaven and Hell. Be sure to compare/contrast moral relativism with a holistic worldview. 30 points.
3a. Or, see if you can name all 7 Deadlies. If you were writing a theological text, what would be your 7?

1. No.

2. My little devil sometimes tempts me to shoplift. It seems like it could be fun just to snag that mini-baguette, for example. But I don't. See #1.

3. Who asks questions like this on a Friday? really.

Fine, I'll take a crack at the Deadlies. I think they are (in no particular order):
1. sloth
2. gluttony
3. lust
4. pride
5. jealousy?
6. plagues of locusts
7. honor thy mother and thy father

Ummm…whatever.

My personal Seven Deadlies might be:
1. incompetence
2. greed
3. anger
4. lack-of-compassion
5. poor critical thinking skills
6. diva-ism/princessiness
7. SUVs

1. Yes, and no comment. :)

2. My little devil tells me to watch "The Apprentice" even though I Don't Do That Anymore. He also tells me that french fries aren't so bad for me. And that I don't really have to go to the gym if I don't want to.

3. Pride gluttony envy anger greed sloth lust. In my version, the eighth would be presumptuousness.

It occurs to me that I must amend my answers.

1. Re stealing: Does trading music count? Then, yes, here and there.

2. same as before

3. My personal Deadlies included:

6. diva-ism/princessiness
7. SUVs

It occurs to me that these are really both "pride". So my new list will be:

1. incompetence
2. greed
3. anger
4. lack-of-compassion
5. poor critical thinking skills
6. pride
7. deceit

AND, I'd like to add "ingratitude" as an 8th sin.
