Informal Marketing Survey

1. In your ideal world, what day & time would you go for a shiatsu appointment? What if you were to receive regular shiatsu; would that change the day & time?

2. Do you want your shiatsu office near your home or near your work?

3. Would you feel more comfortable receiving shiatsu from a trusted former coworker or from someone you don't know?

4. For what sort of things do you think shiatsu might be helpful?

Thank you!

1. I think shiatsu would be best after work. If I had it midday, I'd just build up more stress during the afternoon. At the end of the day (when I usually run), shiatsu would be heavenly.

If I just did it occasionally, probably Wednesdays would be nice. If regularly, still Wednesdays. Maybe Sundays too.

2. Near my work. Though I work a mile from my home, so really either would do nicely.

3. Trusted former coworker, presuming said coworker and I were also friendly outside of work. I prefer friends to strangers in terms of shiatsu and such.

4. Reducing stress? Reducing muscle tension? Perhaps increasing energy or improving general wellness? Something along those lines.

5. Though you didn't ask, the answer is, "Yes, I do keep accidentally typing it as "shitasu."

Thanks, guys. I have a follow-up question: No one wants to receive shiatsu on a Saturday?

It's very useful for me to see that, if y'all as a sample is accurate, whether you know or don't know the therapist seems to be a person-by-person preference. (I'm wondering how much to advertise at my current place of employment in the future.)

Clearly, shiatsu needs some more detailed PR. Yes, it can get out muscle tension, reduce stress, energize, and promote well-being, but it also remedies or alleviates a host of other issues. It's especially good for digestive issues, insomnia, and emotional/mental health. I personally have a knack, it seems, for treating mental/emotional stuff. (I elaborated because of Eric's question marks.)

Yes, I know just what you mean about yoga (same for tai chi). Eventually, in maybe 5 years or so, I plan to have a space that offers such classes, a small shelf with books for sale, and who knows what-all else. :)

The only thing we could want is a bakery next door...
